- On March 3, 2010, the ship got stuck in ice while en-route from Aland to Kapellskar. Unable to proceed to Kapellskar, the ferry turned back to homeport Mariehamn, arriving there at ~10 pm.
03 March 2010Other IncidentsOn March 3, 2010, Rosella was one of two cruise ships caught in sea ice in Stockholm's archipelago. The ferry was unable to reach Kapellskar and had to turn back to Mariehamn Aland, arriving at 10 pm. The other ship was MS Birger Jarl (1953-built cruise ship) en-route to Stockholm. It left stuck for nearly a day before turning around and also returning to Mariehamn. |
