December 2021Cruise Illness / Virus Outbreaks(Coronavirus) On December 29, 2021, an anonymous crew on the ship reported that a total of 30 COVID-positive crew were disembarked in Port Dubai (UAE) and quarantined to a local hotel. An additional 40 crew (identified as close contacts) were placed in isolation onboard. The liner was carrying ~1600 passengers plus ~1310 crew. The incident occurred at the beginning of the 10-day "New Year Holiday Cruise" (itinerary Dec 28 - January 7, roundtrip from Dubai) with call ports Abu Dhabi UAE, Doha Qatar, Muscat Oman, and Mina Salman Bahrain. |
