April 2022Other IncidentsOn April 4, 2022, Tallink Grupp signed a charter agreement with Eesti Sotsiaalministeerium (Estonia's Ministry of Social Affairs, via ENSIB-Social Insurance Board) for MS Isabelle to serve as a floating hotel for Ukrainian refugees. The charter deal was for an initial 4-month period (starting April 7th), with an optional extension of two months (plus another two if needed). During the charter period, the liner remained permanently docked at Riga Ferry Port. Originally, Tallink Isabelle was scheduled to restart the Riga-Stockholm service on June 3rd (2022). |
