On August 26, 2011, the riverboat's operator Viking River Cruises notified all booked customers that due to propulsion issues (needed propeller repairs), their cruise itinerary (departure August 27 from Amsterdam Holland) will start on August 29 leaving from Cologne Germany.

Upon arrival in Amsterdam, all passengers with booked through Viking pre-cruise hotel stay were met at the airport and bused to Mint Hotel (Amsterdam).
