19 November 2010Fire AccidentOn November 19, 2010, in the evening, a truck on the ferry's vehicle deck caught fire before the ship was able to dock in Port Rostock (Germany). Initially, the fire was fought by the crew and was prevented from spreading. After the ship moored at its berth, municipal fire brigades supported the onboard firefighting and the fire was extinguished in ~2 hours. The only shipboard damage was soot on Deck 5. |
