  • 2025 - delayed construction/delivery (6x canceled cruises)

February 2024Structural and Technical Issues

In February 2024, Oceania Cruises announced that the Allura ship's delivery would be delayed and, as a result, the Maiden Voyage along with five subsequent cruises were canceled.

The postponed delivery was due to unforeseen challenges encountered during the vessel's construction at Fincantieri's Sestri Poente yard. The Italian shipbuilder notified Oceania that despite its efforts, the scheduled delivery and commissioning date in 2025 (June 8th) has been postponed (to July 24th).

As compensation, all affected bookings received a full refund (for the cruise fares paid), in addition to an FCC/future cruise credit with rebooking.

The canceled voyages affected bookings on departure dates (2025) June 8th, 15th, and 25th, and July 7th, 17th, and 29th.
