In September 2017, due to a ship construction delay, Crystal River Cruises Mahler ship's 16-night "Inaugural Cruise" (departure August 29) was re-scheduled for September 30.

The revised itinerary (on Rhine River) left roundtrip from Amsterdam Holland to ports in Germany and Basel Switzerland. The original (Danube River) itinerary was scheduled to leave from Budapest Hungary.

All passengers were notified via emails and given the following options:

  • Passengers on the new itinerary received full refund plus 50% future Crystal River Cruises booking discount (2017-2019 deals), plus complimentary airfare (Sept 30 / Budapest to Amsterdam) or up to USD 500 toward flight changes.
  • Passengers who canceled their bookings received a full refund, complimentary river cruise (deals 2017-2019) plus up to USD 500 reimbursement for flight cancellation fees/flight changes.
