28 September 2012Crew / Passenger Deaths(overboard) On September 28, 2012, a male passenger was reported fell overboard into the sea, while the ship was approx 20 ml / 30 km southeast of Mariehamn (Aland Finland). A search operation was conducted by Finnish Border Guard (Coast Guard), In which participated the fleet mate Silja Europa, merchant vessels and rescue helicopters deployed from both Finland and Sweden. The man's body was never found. |
