03 June 2016Ship Collision / AllisionOn June 3, 2016, ~4 am, the Viking longship Mani sustained minor damage in a ship collision accident with a cargo barge. The ship was navigating on Rhine River and was hit by the cargo vessel. The riverboat remained operable and on its own power continued to Cologne Germany for inspection. No injuries were reported. A total of 3 cruise staterooms were affected. Their occupants were relocated to different cabins as the boat was not booked at full capacity. |
