ACL American Pioneer cabins review

ACL American Pioneer ship has 5 passenger decks, of which 3 are with cabins and all (including the Sun Deck) are interconnected via two midship elevators.

All of the 56 staterooms (43 cabins plus 13 suites) are with private step-out balconies. Each veranda is fitted with a table and two chairs (suites additionally have padded sun loungers), and with glass railings. A floor-ceiling sliding door opens onto the veranda.

The number of cabin categories is 5. There are no handicapped cabins (wheelchair-accessible ADA staterooms designed for passengers with disabilities) nor interconnecting cabins.

Except for the Single cabins (4x) which are with French beds (140x200 cm), all staterooms have King-size double beds (convertible to twins), large bathrooms (most with single vanities, suites have double vanities), wardrobes, ample drawer storage and under-bed storage (for suitcases), 54-inch TV, electronic safe box (in the closet), indoor seating (armchair, writing desk with a chair). Wi-Fi is shipwide and complimentary.

The boat's 4x single cabins are on Deck 3 (2x) and Deck 2 (2x).

The smallest staterooms (category Single) are sized 280 ft2 (26 m2) including the veranda.

Standard balcony cabins (categories AAM/Deck 2, and Vista/Deck 3) are sized 310 ft2 (29 m2) including the veranda.

The largest accommodations are on Deck 4 - Sky Suites (470 ft2 / 44 m2) and Grand Suites (620 ft2 / 58 m2), with sizes including their terraces. The 4x Grand Suites and 9x Sky Suites are two-room accommodations with separate living rooms and bedrooms (both with direct balcony access, 2x TVs), dining areas, marble bathrooms (double-sink vanities), bigger balconies (length 7 m / 35 ft) with sun loungers.

Grand Suite Private Balcony

The Grand Suites are with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors/triple-glass panels (in both the living room and the bedroom). The living room has a full-size couch, a 60-inch TV, a double wardrobe, ample cabinet space. The dining area has ample counter space (with daily-replenished treats and a fully-stocked refrigerator). The bedroom also has a 60-inch TV. The bathroom has a double vanity and a large glass shower.

The Sky Suites are with two 54-inch TVs.

All Suites are provided with plush robes.
