MV Janssonius cabins review
Janssonius cruise ship has a total of 82 passenger cabins accommodating 2-3-4 persons. Staterooms are in different categories and range from 1x Janssonius Suite (35 m2/not offered anymore), 6x Balcony Grand Suites (27 m2), 8x French Balcony Junior Suites (19-20 m2), Panoramic Window and Porthole Window cabins (with double-triple-quadruple occupancy).
Standard cabin amenities include windows (some opening), 1 double bed (or 2 single beds / non-convertible to double), under-bed storage, bedside cabinets, wall-mounted reading lamps, LED ceiling lights, lounge/seating area (writing desk with chair, LCDTV, phone, WiFi Internet, refrigerator, tea/coffee maker, binoculars), wardrobe, electronic safe box (in the closet), en-suite bathroom (WC-toilet, single-sink vanity, shower, bath products, bathrobes, towels, hairdryer), individually controlled air-conditioning.
Quadruple Porthole cabins are with 2 portholes (small-sized round windows), 2 upper (Pullman) beds, 2 lower beds (fixed) and small 2-seat sofa (in between). These cabins are designed for families with children or small group passengers.
Triple Porthole cabins are with 2 portholes, 1 upper (Pullman bed), 2 lower (fixed) beds and a small (2-seat) sofa in between. Twin Porthole and Twin Window cabins are with 2 lower (fixed) beds and a small (2-seat) sofa in between.
Twin Deluxe cabins are fitted with 2 large windows (non-opening), 2 single lower beds (non-convertible to double), sofa, small bar table with armchair (by the window). Superior cabins are with 2 large windows (non-opening), 1 double bed (non-convertible to twins), 3-seater sofa.
Junior Suites are with French Balcony (1 double slide-opening window), 1 double bed (non-convertible to twins) and lounge area (by the window) fitted with bar table/armchair and sofa/coffee table. Grand Suites are with private step-out balconies.
The initially planned "Janssonius Suite" (currently not available for booking) had 4 windows, 3-seater sofa, 1 fixed double bed, coffee table with armchairs, walk-in closet. However, this cabin type was later removed/cancelled by Oceanwide Expedition to remain only a Janssonius ship promotion offer.
