Ocean Residences MY Njord cabins review
Ocean Residences MY Njord cruise ship is marketed as a "residential superyacht" (MY stands for "motor yacht") and all its accommodations are in the categories of ultra-luxury.
The yacht has a total of 134 staterooms, of which 118 are privately-owned apartments (condo residences in 21 different configurations) plus 16 Guest Suites. Condos' sizes range between 116-848 m2 (1250-9130 ft2) including the balconies. Cabin configurations range from 2- to 6-bedroom apartments. Penthouses are duplex and triplex suites, all fitted with balcony hot tubs (large Jacuzzies) and the largest ones have a plunge pool on the terrace.
If requested by the owner, the condos can be fitted with additional amenities, like an infrared sauna, a walk-in wine cellar, humidors, specific designer furniture (made according to condo owner's specifications), different kitchen/bedroom/lounge configurations, etc.
Each bedroom has an ocean view and direct access to a private step-out veranda. All cabin balconies are furnished with premium patio furniture - padded deckchairs, sun loungers, low tables, 4-seat dining tables. Residents can organize classy private parties renting the services of world-class chefs, professional butlers, certified sommeliers.
Room Service is 24/7.
The largest accommodations include 14x Duplex Penthouses (2-deck) and 2x Triples Penthouses (3-deck), all fitted with private elevators.
Condo prices start from USD 8 million (EUR 6,75M / GBP 5,75M), with an ownership maintenance fee 5% of the purchase price.
In addition to the 118 condos, there are 16x Guest Suites (hotel apartments) owned by Ocean Residences and available for private (short- or long-term) rent.
