Silver Shadow cabins and suites

MS Silver Shadow cabins are larger in size compared to the luxury cruising industry’s standards. Traditionally for Silversea, Shadow is an all-suite ship. The number of all cabin categories is 12. Passenger use laundrettes (butler- and self-service laundry facilities) are located on decks 4, 6, 8. Detergent is provided.

Most Silver Shadow suites are with a private balcony (100% oceanview). Handicap (wheelchair-accessible) cabins for disabled passengers are only 2 (#535 & 537, located on deck 5 /near the lobby lift). Connecting rooms on the ship are 12 (6 pairs of suites convertible to a double suite, located on decks 4, 5, 6, 7). Also connecting are the highest grades 2-bedroom suites.

Each of the Silver Shadow suites has: large living area (walk-in closet, dining table, writing desk, mirrored vanity table), marble bathroom (separate bathtub and shower, robes, towels, slippers, luxury bath products), bedroom (queen bed /convertible to twins, luxury mattresses and Pratesi bedding sets, pillow menu, duvets), hairdryer, smart HDTV (satellite reception), media center (quality sound system, VCR/DVD/CD; discs from the ship’s library), iPod station, mini-bar (cocktail cabinet), fully stocked refrigerator (wine, beers, soft beverages), safe, direct-dial phone, magnifying mirror, binoculars, umbrella, stationery, aromatherapy cabin scents by Laura Tonatto, complimentary 24-hour room service (butler service), 110-220 V power outlets.

Room service menu has the same items as The Grill’s menu (poolside bar). Additionally, guests can order from the dining room’s menu (during its opening hours) via the complimentary butler service (course by course in-cabin dining).

Highest grades suites (GS-Grand, RS-Royal, OS-Owner’s, SS-Silver and MS-Medallion) come in 2 types of cabin configurations – 1-bedroom or 2-bedroom (when booked in combination with an adjacent Veranda Suite). These suites feature floor-ceiling sliding doors opening to a large balcony (patio furniture). Two-bedroom suites have a second veranda. The list of special amenities and services includes whirlpool bathtub, daily newspaper, 2 hours cabin phone usage (worldwide calls), complimentary laundry (dry-cleaning and pressing), en-suite dining (afternoon canapes), Illy coffee maker, 3 TVs (SS and MS have 2 TVs), exclusive dining at Officer’s table, 1 complimentary dinner for two at the Le Champagne restaurant.

Vista Suites have large picture window instead of a balcony, and some are with sofa bed (accommodating 3rd person). 8 of all 32 Vista Suites have a common-shared (narrow/unfurnished) veranda.

Personal butler service provides dinner reservations, room service (en-suite dining), refrigerator stocking, laundry, shoeshine, packing/unpacking.

Silversea deals are inclusive of free Wi-Fi (shipwide, in all Suite cabins and public areas). Each passenger is allowed to use at least 1 hour Wi-Fi Internet service per day at no charge. WIFi is free and unlimited for all guests in the suite categories GS-Grand, RS-Royal, OS-Owner’s and SS-Silver. This amenity upgrade is available on all Silver Shadow itineraries, including on themed Silversea expedition cruises.
