Silver Wind cabins and suites

Most Silver Wind cabins (75%) are with private balconies - excepting only the Vista Suites (window suites) on lowest cabin deck 4. Handicap (wheelchair-accessible) cabins for disabled passengers are only 2 (#640-643, on deck 6 /located near the lobby lift). The ship has no connecting rooms (suites convertible to a double suite). Connecting are only the highest grades 2-bedroom suites. The number of all cabin categories is 8.

One passenger use laundromat (butler- and self-service laundry facility) is located on deck 4. Detergent is provided.

Passenger staterooms are among the largest at sea. Traditionally for Silversea, Silver Wind is an all-suite ship, and all passenger accommodations are in the forward half. This design allows all public rooms to be positioned between the stern and midships, thus improving guests’ comfort and privacy in cabins.

Each of the Silver Wind suites has: large living area (chairs, table, sofa, writing desk), walk-in closet (with plenty of drawers and shelves), dining table, vanity area (1 mirrored table, 1 small stool), marble bathroom (bathtub/shower, robes, towels, slippers, luxury bath products /choice of European top-brand products), bedroom (queen bed /convertible to twins, luxury mattresses, Pratesi bedding sets, pillow menu, duvets), leather headboard, bedside tables with lamps, hairdryer, smart HDTV (satellite reception, infotainment system with movies on demand and live cam views), media center (quality sound system, VCR/DVD/CD; discs provided at the ship’s library), IPod station, radio/alarm clock, mini-bar (cocktail cabinet), fully stocked refrigerator (wine, beers, soft beverages), safe, direct-dial phone, magnifying mirror, binoculars, umbrella, stationery, complimentary 24-hour room service (butler service), 110-220 V power outlets, aromatherapy cabin scents by Laura Tonatto.

Room Service menu has the same items as the dining room’s menu. Room service is available during The Restaurant’s opening hours, via the complimentary butler service for a course by course in-cabin dining. During the day can be also ordered burgers, salads, pasta, sandwiches, appetizers.

Highest grades suites (GS-Grand, RS-Royal and OS-Owner’s) come in 2 types – 1-bedroom or 2-bedroom (if booked in combination with an adjacent Veranda Suite). The Medallion Suite on deck 7 is also with 2 bedrooms. These suites feature floor-ceiling sliding doors opening to a large balcony (with luxury patio furniture), 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, powder room (with full-size whirlpool bathtub). Two-bedroom (double) suites have a second veranda. Grand and Royal Suites have connecting doors to Veranda Suites (and all 3 balconies). Owner Suites have guest bathrooms (WC/sink) and connecting doors to Vista Suites (so only 1 balcony). The list of bonus amenities and services for GS-RS-OS-SS-MS Suite passengers includes: whirlpool bathtubs, daily newspaper, 2 hours cabin phone usage (worldwide calls), complimentary laundry (dry-cleaning and pressing), en-suite dining (afternoon canapes), Illy coffee maker, more TVs, exclusive dining at Officer’s table, 1 complimentary dinner for two at the Le Champagne restaurant.

The Medallion Suite is an additional cabin category on the Silversea Wind ship, that the sister-ship Cloud doesn’t have. Located on deck 7 midship (2-bedroom cabin #741 starboard) and deck 8 forward (1-bedroom cabins #801-802-803-804), these accommodations are among the high-grade suite categories too. Still, only the large 2-bedroom Medallion Suite on deck 7 features the common for the Silversea luxury suite amenities, such as large picture windows in the living room, separate dining area (4-seat table), full-size whirlpool bathtub and separate shower in the bathroom, second bathroom with shower.

Each of the Vista Suites (on deck 4, plus both forward rooms on deck 5) have 1 large picture window instead of a balcony. Some of them are with sofa bed for accommodating a 3rd person. Vista Suite cabin #738 (on deck 7) is a 2-bedroom accommodation – larger in size, but still lacking the balcony view.

All three Silver Suites are located midships starboard on decks 5, 6 and 7. Unlike the other high-grade accommodations, those can’t be booked as doubles. Unlike the sistership Silver Cloud, Silver Suites on Silver Wind have bathtubs in their luxury bathrooms.

Personal butler service provides dinner reservations, room service (en-suite dining), refrigerator stocking, laundry, shoeshine, packing/unpacking.

Silversea deals are inclusive of free Wi-Fi (shipwide, in all Suite cabins and public areas). Each passenger is allowed to use at least 1 hour Wi-Fi Internet service per day at no charge. WIFi is free and unlimited for all guests in the suite categories GS-Grand, RS-Royal, OS-Owner’s and SS-Silver. This amenity upgrade is available on all Silver Cloud itineraries, including on themed Silversea expedition cruises.
