Review of ACL American Symphony deck 4 (Suites-Bridge-Sky Lounge-Lido)
The fore-located Navigation Bridge (called "Pilothouse" or "Wheelhouse" on riverboats) is passenger-accessible. Along with passenger cabins, here are also the Captain's Suite and officers' quarters (adjacent to the pilothouse).
The midship-starboard High Note Lounge serves the American Cruise Lines "Eagle Society" loyalty program and hosts various club activities, member discussions, trivia games.
The aft-located Sky Lounge is an indoor venue with premium furniture, floor-ceiling and wall-to-wall windows (allowing 270-degree views), glass-roof cover (SkyLight) and direct access to an open-air Terrace (Ellipse Cafe). Throughout the day, there are served beverages, snacks, freshly-baked cookies, pastries, beverages. Sky Lounge's opening glass doors allow it to expand by including the furnished Terrace/Ellipse Cafe. Throughout the day, the Cafe's Bar serves complimentary water, soda, light snacks. Complimentary Afternoon Tea service is available between 3:30-4:30 pm. In the evening, there is a cocktail hour with free drinks.
Ellipse Cafe is an alfresco dining venue directly accessed from the Sky Lounge, as well as (via outdoor stairs) from decks 3 and 5. The Ellipse Cafe (aka Back Porch Cafe/Lido) has plenty of outdoor seating - padded deckchairs, 2-seater sofas, 4-seat tables.
Cruise cabins from 404 to 426, all of which are Balcony staterooms in categories GS-Grand Suite (forward, 650 ft2 / 60 m2), VS-Veranda Suite (midship, 405 ft2 / 38 m2) and SB-Single Balcony (midship-starboard, 250 ft2 / 23 m2).
