Review of American Heritage deck 5
The fore-located Navigation Bridge (called “pilot house” or “wheelhouse” on riverboats) is passenger-accessible. Along with passenger cabins, here are also the captain’s suite and the officers' quarters (all with portside location).
The aft-location Sun Deck area has deck furniture (including the line’s signature rocking chairs painted in white), a small Golf Putting Green, sunbathing area with loungers, and an open-air Gym. The outdoor exercise equipment consists of fitness machines (including elliptical trainers), a chest press, and a recumbent bike.
Unlike the old Mississippi riverboat, the new Mississippi ship has no Promenade (encircling the whole top deck) or shaded seating area.
The ship’s Sun Deck is served daily with drinks, light snacks, and freshly made pastries by the Sky Lounge Bar on deck 4 below.
Power Room (starboard) is the boat’s fitness facility equipped with free weights, workout benches, Kinesis One stations, treadmills, exercise bikes.
Cruise cabins from 502 to 513, all of which are Balcony staterooms in categories AAM and SB (Single Balcony).
