Review of Azamara Quest deck 5 (Promenade-Dining-Lounge)
Cabaret Lounge & Bar is the ships’ theater (main show lounge, capacity 450 seats) with low ceiling, stadium seating (stepped floors), large dance floor and stage for live evening entertainment. The evening program features band music-, classic piano-, singing-dancing- and cabaret-style performances, short operas and theatricals (10-min shows via partnership with the Miami-based "Magic City Opera" and the Pittsburgh-based "City Theatre"), also stand-up comedians, magicians, ventriloquists, cabaret stars and instrumentalists (via pertnership with the NYC-based "Feinstein’s 54 Below"). On some nights here are also shown movies. The ship has its own troupe of 6 performers (singers and dancers), some of them also hosting daily trivia games and dance classes. The theater also serves Azamara Cruises’ onboard enrichment program. Here is hosted the signature “AzAmazing Evening” – cruise itinerary-destination-related lectures with media presentations, plus special-themed lectures (on history, politics, arts, etc) led by guest speakers. Each evening, the theater lounge offers ballroom dancing, followed by 2 show productions (early at 8 pm, and late at 10 pm). After that, the theater transforms into disco nightclub. During the day, here are hosted various pre-scheduled onboard activities (trivia games, bingo, dance classes, arts-crafts workshops, lectures, seminars).
Casino Luxe was a small lounge with 4 gambling tables (3-card poker, roulette, 2x Blackjack) and slot machines (incl video poker /1 cent, 5 cents, 25 cents, 1 dollar; max slot bets $5). The staff provided free of charge gambling lessons. At the ship's casino were regularly hosted slot- and Blackjack tournaments. The Casino lounge was served with drinks and light snacks by the Spirits Bar (sports bar). NOTE: In 2019, the casino was removed, replicating “The Den” of Azamara Pursuit - a newly designed gift shop. 6 new Ocean View Staterooms were also added. The lively lounge is equipped with a piano, a lengthy bar, comfortable seating, and light “live” music in the evening. “The Den” also has a concierge desk with destination-focused travel experts. Azamara Gift Shop provides an immersive shopping experience, with a variety of electronics, jewelry, perfumes, and cosmetics.
“The Quest Shop” is a duty-free priced, combined boutique-convenience store selling liquor, tobaccos, brand perfumes, cosmetics, skincare products, sunglasses, jewelry (including Swarovski), fashion accessories, casual and swim wear, Azamara-logoed merchandise, special occasion gifts, travel essentials, sundries, toiletries.
“Indulgences” is a luxury boutique shop selling at duty-free prices designer jewelry and name-brand watches.
Spirits Bar (aka Casino Bar) is located outside the Casino. This is a sports bar furnished with comfortable armchairs and tables, and large-size LED screens showing live sporting events (channels ESPN-ESPN2). The bar menu offers a selection of international beers, also wines (by the glass) and cocktails. The bar hosts daily scheduled activities (trivia contests, seminars). In late evenings, Spirits Bar transforms into Club Luxe – nightclub offering live music performances by a resident musician (solo piano or guitar).
Promenade deck (open-air areas on each side)
Photo Shop (in the hallway /starboard) provides professional photo-video services by the ship’s photographers and sells duty-free priced equipment and photo accessories. At the photo gallery passengers can use touchscreen monitors to browse and purchase photos.
Mosaic Cafe (open between 7 am – 1 am) is a patisserie / specialty coffee bar with a separate tea kiosk. Specialty coffees cost extra, but the light snacks here are complimentary – fresh mini pastries, finger sandwiches, scones, fine chocolates. The bar also sells liquors and serves Afternoon Tea. Daily are hosted cards-playing and trivia games. Here passengers can get information about the “Wine Cellar” (wine tasting dinner events at Prime C). In the evening, Mosaic Cafe transforms into the Mosaic@Night (nightclub with live music).
