MV Glory Sea / Celestyal Odyssey (built 2002, former name MV Explorer, last refurbished in 2015) is the newest vessel in the fleet of the re-branded line Louis Cruises (now Celestyal Cruises). Its current fleet mates are Celestyal Crystal (Louis Cristal) and Celestyal Olympia (Louis Olympia). Before its operations for Celestyal, the Odyssey ship was serving the “Semester At Sea” educational program under the name “MV Explorer” (from 2004 to 2015). The vessel was built for the Royal Olympic cruise lines (now defunct) and operated under the name “Olympic Explorer” (between 2001 and 2004).
Celestyal Odyssey cruise ship deck plan has a total of 400 staterooms for 836 passengers, served by 230 crew/staff. The ship has 6 passenger accessible decks, 2 restaurants, 8 lounges and bars, 1 swimming pool, 4 elevators.
The ship’s interior design features wider corridors, solid cabin doors, many staterooms with large picture windows (with thick metal frames). This ship lacks the Standard Balcony staterooms and has no launderettes (self-service, passenger-use laundry facilities).
