Sun Deck
The Sun Deck layout starts with “The Dome” – an indoor observation lounge during the day, covered with a glass roof. This lounge has ample seating, large dance floor, a full-service bar and floor-ceiling panoramic windows for 180°port and ocean views. Late in the evenings (after 10:30 pm), The Dome becomes a disco nightclub.
The “V8 Simulators” room has high-speed car racing simulators, with a collection of some of the world’s most famous car racing circuits (charges per session apply).
There is a Walking/Jogging Track and Deck Games: area (quoits, Giant Chessboard, golf putting green, shuffleboard).
Located aft are the other two of all four teen-kids lounges by the P&O Cruises Australia youth program. The “HQ” club is for kids 11-14 yo, and the “HQ+” club is for teenagers (14-17 yo). These venues offer as activities film making, dancing classes, teen discos and “jams” (teenagers can form a music band for live performances), contests, sports competitions, talent shows, movies, Karaoke, Nintendo/PS console games, themed parties.
In 2014, on the Pacific Pearl cruise ship was introduced the P&O Australia line’s “P&OEdge” program. It offers 20 different activities on the ship, featuring climbing, jumping and racing through the Pearl ship, and even flying on ropes around its Atrium area. The most popular of the activities by this program are named “Cargo Net Race”, “Flying fox”, “Slackline Bouncing Bridge”, “Atrium High Ropes”, “Aft Funnel Climb”, “Bungee Tramp”, “Bow Ladder Climb”.
