Review of Costa Smeralda deck 17 (Bellagio-Cabins-Lido-Pools)
Deck 17 is the ship's Lido Deck/activity deck with an Aqua Park (with a water slide), high-rope garden (Ropes Course), Mini-Golf course. The pool deck is covered with a retractable glass roof. La Spiaggia Beach Club (adults-only complex) is beneath the glass roof and features an activity area with 2 waterslides, rock climbing wall, sports deck area. This deck also has a giant LED wall for movies and other outdoor video entertainment.
La Spiaggia is the main/largest swimming pool with a central location (midship) and dome-covered (by a retractable glass roof).
The pool deck area is served by Nutella Cafe and Amarillo Ice Cream Shop & Chocolate Bar. Bar Amarillo uses Agrimontana-based flavorings to prepare creamy Italian gelato (frozen desserts) and Italian confectionery made from Gobino chocolate and Biasetto (pastry shop) sweets.
Aqua Park Smeralda (waterpark with slides) is served by La Vetta (portside-located outdoor bar lounge with live music) and Aperol Spritz Bar.
Il Forte Beach (sundeck)
Piazza di Spagna (lower level 1 of 2) is an aft-located, 2-deck area with scenic stern views and is served by Bar Orizzonte (Horizon Bar, located on Deck 18 above).
Cruise cabins from 17001 to 17095, of which Inside (category IP-Premium), Balcony (category BP-Premium), and Grand Suites (category GS, with Forward-Facing Wraparound Balcony).
At both Solarium areas and the entire Il Forte Beach (sundeck areas) smoking is allowed.
