MS Crown Iris (1992-built, aka "Thomson Majesty", last refurbished in 2018) was one of the chartered by Thomson / Marella cruise ships - together with Marella Dream and Thomson Spirit. The ship’s last operator was Louis/Celestial Cruises (Louis Majesty, Celestyal Majesty). The vessel was previously operated under bareboat charter by the UK's biggest tour operator Thomson Holidays (“Thomson Cruises” / rebranded in 2018 to "Marella Cruises").
Crown Iris cruise ship deck plan shows a total of 727 staterooms for 1462 passengers (max capacity is 1970) served by 600 crew/staff. Thomson Majesty deck plan changes 2014 refurbishment review
The 2014 refurbishment made the Majesty a “Platinum ship”. The list of deck plan changes made during the dry-dock refit in March includes:
- 28 private balconies were added to cabins on Viking Deck 8.
- Piazza San Marco buffet restaurant on Sun Deck 10 was extensively renovated.
