Deck layout and review
Review of Crystal Serenity deck 7 (Promenade-Cabins)
The teak-floored, open-air Promenade Deck is combined with power walking/jogging track (3,7 laps = 1 ml) and it;s full-circling around the Serenity ship. The Promenade Deck area is uncluttered because of the ship’s design positioning inboard all the service boats on the below Tiffany deck 6. This is also the place for the daily “Walk On Water” walking program on board.
“The Studio” serves Crystal Cruises’ all-complimentary enrichment program Creative Learning. The program features digital movie-making classes, language basics, music lessons (Yamaha and classic piano). The room’s capacity is limited up to 15 persons per class of 60 mins.
“Computer University @ Sea” is the Serenity’s 24-hour open Internet computers room. It is also the place for Internet and computer classes (complimentary), and here guests can hire laptop computers (per day charge). During 2018 refit, The Computer University@Sea, adjoining classroom, and the multi-purpose Studio, received new carpeting, equipment, seating and 70-inch TVs.
The Library has 3000+ books in several languages, also films, videos, audiobooks and board games – available for borrowing at no charge.
The “Bridge Lounge” (starboard location) is a cards playing room and also the place for Bridge tournaments, playing lessons, occasional guest lectures.
“The Vintage Room” (portside) is a limited capacity fine dining venue (for up to 10 persons). It is serviced by a sommelier and at surcharge PP (US$200+) depending on the selected wine. The room hosts premium wine tastings daily and themed dinners with fine wines and exotic culinary specialties made by visiting celebrity chefs. On special voyages, The Vintage becomes the “Ultimate Vintage Dining Room”. Then it serves some of the world's rarest wines, and the surcharge goes up to US$1000+.
The “Osteria D'Ovidio” restaurant (starboard location) is an Italian fine dining venue for dinner (reservations required, open 6-10 pm). The menu has signature dishes and fine wines selection.
“The Sushi Bar” (portside) is a Japanese dinner-only and reservations-only specialty seafood restaurant (open 6-10 pm). This is the second Crystal-Nobu partnership for traditional Japanese cuisine (sushi-sashimi dishes) prepared by Nobu-trained chefs.
The “Silk Road” restaurant (portside location) is an Asian fine dining venue (dinner-only open 6-10 pm, reservations recommended). This restaurant is via partnership with celebrity chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa (aka simply Nobu), with most dishes being prepared by Nobu-trained chefs.
NOTE: Following drydock 2018 refit, Silk Road was rebranded as "Umi Uma & Sushi Bar" but continues serving Nobu’s signature dishes.
