DCS Amethyst deck 4 plan (Sun)

The fore-located Navigation Bridge (called Wheelhouse on riverboats) is passenger accessible and telescopic (can be lowered for passing under low bridges). The boat's Sundeck area is fitted with retractable awnings (canopy shaded seating areas with 4-seat tables), SkyLight (small glass roof over the Atrium), sunbathing area (with loungers and deckchairs). Aft is located the Funnel (smokestack). Two staircases connect all decks.

All structures on Sundeck (Wheelhouse, awnings, railings, funnel) are collapsible and lowered when the ship passes under low bridges.

The ship has no elevator (passenger lift), swimming pool, Jacuzzi (whirlpool hot tub), or deck games area (which on most new European riverboats is fitted with outdoor group games like Shuffleboard, Giant Chess Set, Mini-Golf/Putting Green).
