Review of Harmony Of The Seas deck 3 (Ice Rink-Cabins)
Royal Theater (complimentary, total capacity 1401 seats, lower level 1 of 3) is the ship’s main show lounge for Broadway-style dance and music productions and aerial acrobatic performances in the evenings. The theater presents nightly 2 grand shows – early (at 8 pm) and late (at 10 pm) to match the assigned dining room sittings. Both are full-length production shows specially designed for the Harmony ship – with professional performances (singing, dancing, acting, live band music), excellent decors and lighting. Signature shows are “Go Grease Lightning!” (based on the 1971 musical /original choreography-costumes-aerial acts), “Columbus The Musical”(original RCI /Marvin Columbus is a fictional character, Christopher’s unlucky distant cousin), the rotating Headliners (tribute band show), also popular game shows (like “Love and Marriage”). Royal Theatre has its own bar for refreshments. During the shows, waiters walk around and offer bar service. During the day, the theater functions as Cinema and also hosts enrichment lectures and bingo-playing sessions. Royal Caribbean’s Snowball Jackpot Bingo offers most generous payouts (final jackpots are in the several thousand dollars). Among the bingo prizes are also free cabin upgrades and even free cruises.
Conference Center (capacity up to 330 seats) consists of several meeting rooms divided by collapsible walls. Each of the rooms can be configured to suit specific group needs. Here can be held lectures, seminars, presentations, group meetings, business and general sessions, conferences at sea. Modern presentation equipment is provided complimentary (including projectors, media players, large plasma TV, podium/lectern, wall-mount screens, video wall, microphones, stage lighting).
Center Ice Rink (Studio B) is an ice-skating stadium (2-tiered show lounge) with capacity ~1000 seats (50 guests per session / 45 min sessions, reservations recommended). This is a multipurpose complex for daily activities (ice skating, ice games, hockey, cooking demonstrations, adult scavenger hunts) and a live production show (professional ice show) in the evening. Studio B is complimentary – equipment is provided and no reservations are needed. Tickets are free, but have to be obtained in advance. The RCI Harmony’s exclusive ice show programming includes 2 new productions (both RCI originals) with world-class skating performances and stunning multimedia – “1887 – A Journey in Time” (Jules Verne-themed /love and time-travel adventure based in Paris France) and “iSkate Showcase” (talented skaters performing to their favorite tunes). During both large-scale ice skating shows, the ice rink transforms to create an ultra-HD video background. These productions are via partnership with Luminous Creative Imaging (Amsterdam-based digital art company).
Main Dining Room (level 1 of 3) is an aft-located complimentary restaurant with open-seating for Breakfast (7-9 am), Lunch (12:30-2 pm), “Brasserie 30” Lunch menu (12-2 pm /on seadays only), and Dinner (with 2 assigned seatings- at 6 or 8:30 pm). It also features the flexible “My Time Dining” program and Dreamworks Character Breakfasts (between 8 – 10 am /free for kids, surcharge per adult applies; reservations are required).
