Review of Le Commandant Charcot deck 6 (Helideck-Cabins)
The fore-located Helideck has a helipad (landing platform) used in cases of emergency and for launching helicopter tours. The cruise ship carries two 2 onboard helicopters (used for private flight tours) stored onboard in hangars. The helipad also doubles as an outdoor observation deck (for wildlife viewing).
Cruise cabins from 601 to 645 are balcony staterooms in categories Duplex Suites (4x, aft location), Prilivege Suites (2x, midship location), Privilege Stateroom (14x) and Prestige Stateroom (23x, including 2x wheelchair-accessible / ADA cabins for passengers with reduced mobility).
Aft are located the cruise ship's four Duplex Suites (2-level apartments). On the lower level (Deck 6) are located a Terrace (with patio furniture and an outdoor hot tub / Balneo bathtub), Living Room (lounge), Dining Room (6-seat table), Dressing Room, half-Bathroom (WC). On the upper level (Deck 7) are located the Bedroom, full-Bathroom (WC-shower), Dressing Room.
Also on Deck 6 are mounted the ship's four tenders (tender boats) used for passenger embarkation-disembarkation in locations without docking facilities.
