Review of MS Excellence Empress deck 3 (Upper-Lobby-Lounge)
The fore-located Excellence Lounge (boat's main bar lounge) has comfortable seating and a small bow-located terrace (with limited seating). Here is also held the formal Captain's Cocktail Reception (welcome aboard event). The Bar Lounge also serves the cruise company's onboard enrichment program with live entertainment (crew show, cooking demos, local guest performances), daily quiz games, themed and dance nights (often with live music), language courses, lectures (folklore- or history-themed) about the visited region along the cruise itinerary route.
The midship-located Lobby Hall houses the Reception Desk (24-hour guest services and assistance), Tour Desk (Cruise Director, itinerary information, excursions booking), Gift Shop, and the ship's both entrances (eingang) - portside and starboard.
At the stern on Deck 3, the Aft Lounge doubles as daily Cocktail Bar (Library) and an evening Sushi Bistro (a la carte Steakhouse restaurant). Aft Lounge is served with beverages by its own Bar (Bordbar).
Cruise cabins from 301 to 335 are French Balcony staterooms (with sliding, floor-ceiling glass doors opening to a railing), including the boat's larger sized Junior Suites (midship location).
One Elevator (passenger Lift) interconnects decks 1-2-3 (Main-Middle-Upper). A Stairlift connects decks 3-4 (Upper-Sundeck).
