Review of MS Otto Sverdrup deck 8 (Observation-Lounge)
The fore-located Explorer Bar Lounge is the ship's main and largest bar lounge. This is an indoor observation lounge with comfortable furniture (plush sofas and chairs) and floor-ceiling windows. The lounge has also an Internet Cafe (with 2 PC stations) and a small dance floor.
The Observation Deck has an open-air promenade deck space - the ship's best vantage points for passengers to enjoy the Arctic scenery along the current cruise itinerary route. The area is accessible via both stairs and the aft elevator. This Sun Deck is also the place for the Hurtigruten’s special ceremony called “Arctic Circle baptism”, which includes a Neptune-costumed crewmember, ice-cold seawater, and a free shot – for warming up.
Deck 8 also has aft-located cruise cabins from M6-801 to M6-805, all of which are Suites (Aft-facing Balcony and French Balcony).
