MS Steigenberger Omar El Khayam deck plans

MS Omar El Khayam (built 2008, last refurbished in 2011) is the second of the Viking Cruises ships on Nile River in Egypt – together with MS Mayfair. The ship is also known under the names “JAZ Omar El Khayam” and “Steigenberger Omar El Khayam”. The vessel is owned by a local subsidiary company of Travco Group and named after the Persian philosopher, mathematician and astronomer Omar Khayyam (1048-1131). These two Lake Nasser luxury riverboats are operated by Viking under a charter.

Steigenberger Omar El Khayam cruise ship deck plan has a total of 80 staterooms for 160 passengers served by 88 crew/staff (all English-speaking) The ship features 6 passenger decks, a most spacious sun deck (with swimming pool, whirlpool, shaded seating), 1 restaurant, 3 lounges with bars, Gym, Spa, Sauna, 1 elevator (connecting all cabin decks).

The boat’s dress code allows swimsuits, shorts and tank tops only on the sun deck. Ashore, women must cover themselves with a scarf (draped over the arms) and to avoid above the knee skirts. Bringing comfortable shoes is recommendable for land tours.
