Review of MS Switzerland deck 1 (Emerald-Spa-Dining)
The fore-located Restaurant is a 5-star dining room, also accessible via stairlift through Ruby Deck. Onboard dining is complimentary, fixed (with assigned seating), and includes buffet breakfasts and waiter-served 4-course lunches and dinners with themed menus and local (cruise itinerary-based) cuisine specialties. The main course for dinner is selected at noon, from an a la carte menu. All meals are served in common dining times. Dishes for special diets (gluten-free, lactose-free, diabetics, etc) are provided upon request. Special dietary requirements, food allergies, and intolerances must be notified in advance.
Afternoon tea, coffee, and midnight snacks are also complimentary. Beers, house wines, soft drinks (mineral water, juices), tea, and coffee are complimentary. The traditional Captain's Reception and Captain's Dinner are formal events held in the Restaurant.
Adjacent to the Restaurant (forward) is the Galley (ship kitchen).
Forward-starboard is the Sauna Room.
Cruise cabins from 100 to 134, all of which are Outside Staterooms (with opening windows) in categories Double, Triple, and Mini-Suite. Aft-starboard and forward-portside are located two single cabins that can be booked with single occupancy rates.
Aft are located ship's engine room and crew-only areas.
A stairlift links decks Ruby and Sun, as well as the Restaurant with the Lounge (Ruby Deck). Two staircases (forward and aft) connect all decks.
