Review of MSC Explora 5 deck 5 (Spa-Lounges-Restaurants)
Deck 5 houses the ship's wellness complex (sized 700+ m2 / 7500+ ft2) featuring an indoor-outdoor Spa consisting of 9x Treatment Rooms (for massages), Thermal Suites, Beauty Salon (manicures, pedicures, hairdresser and barber services).
Midship are the Fil Rouge (Concept Restaurant/portside), the Coffee Lounge (patisserie), and the Marble & Co. Grill (Steakhouse).
Fil Rouge Restaurant serves mainly traditional French cuisine (as well as French-inspired international dishes) and provides a dessert cart/tableside service and a premium wine menu.
Marble & Co Grill is a steakhouse restaurant with a wine cellar. For the dishes is used personally sourced and sustainably farmed beef.
Midship-aft are positioned Art Gallery (with original artworks on display and also hosting art auctions) and the MSC Foundation (a venue dedicated to the established by the Aponte family independent not-for-profit organization that manages MSC Group's conservation and humanitarian activities).
Aft are positioned the Sakura Restaurant (portside/Pan-Asian cuisine - Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Malaysian; Sake sommelier service; Asian beverages; modern Asian music), the Astern Pool & Bar (Aft Lounge & Bar/live music entertainment daily, doubles as nightclub with a DJ programming) and the Lower Aft Plunge Pool & Lounge (poolside bar lounge with nightly live music/acoustic musicians and DJs; fitted with an outdoor swimming pool and sundeck area).
Deck 5 is accessed via 8 lifts (2x forward and 2x aft elevators) and indoor staircases.
