Review of Oceania Vista deck 14 (Sundeck-Restaurants-Horisons Lounge)
4 forward elevators lead to the “Horizons” – a fore-located indoor observation lounge (at the ship’s bow) that is served by its own full bar. This place features floor-ceiling panoramic windows, a dance floor, ample seating (including a small smoking area /indoor), Afternoon Tea (4 pm), and live entertainment and dancing in the evenings when it transforms into a nightclub.
The Culinary Center (portside) provides cooking classes and demonstrations (at a charge per lesson or for a course of several lessons). The Culinary Center hosts the “Gourmet Explorer Series” consisting of 20 cooking classes - regional cuisine themed according to ports of call along the current route. Classes duration range from 45 min up to 3 hours (depending on the cruise itinerary). There is also an exclusive cooking class (La Technique) focusing on the techniques of Oceania cruise ships restaurants’ master chef Chef Jaques Pepin.
LYNC Digital Center is the ship’s 24-hour Internet computer room. Dedicated staff assistance and private and group classes are also provided.
“Artist Loft” (starboard) is the educational center serving the Oceania Cruises’ enrichment program. The place is well-equipped and offers a variety of arts and crafts classes. Here are also held daily expert lectures and media presentations focusing on various culture and travel topics, including the ships' itineraries (ports of call, destination highlights, tours and excursions sponsored ashore).
Conference Center (starboard) is a spacious meeting room with modern audio-visual presentation equipment.
“Sanctuary” garden (portside) is an outdoor shaded area with padded loungers.
“Patio” (starboard) is a small outdoor relaxation area with comfortable chairs and cushioned sofas.
Sundeck is an open-air sunbathing area fitted with padded loungers and deckchairs and 4-seat tables.
“Baristas” is a patisserie and specialty coffee bar serving complimentary illy coffees (espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc) and freshly baked cakes, pastries, biscuits.
Library (portside) has 1000+ books and Oceania Cruises itineraries (ports and destinations) related travel guides.
Board Room is for playing cards and board games.
The “Toscana” restaurant (portside) is a 124-seats Italian specialty dinner restaurant (reservations required). Dining here is complimentary, but with limited reservations per stateroom – two reservations for Concierge and above, one reservation for other categories.
Polo Grill (starboard) is a complimentary Steakhouse restaurant (reservations-only) with a menu featuring grilled prime steaks, seafood, lamb, chicken. The Polo restaurant offers a limited number of dinner reservations per room – two for Concierge and above categories, one for the lower grades.
“Privee” (aft location, between Toscana and Polo) is a limited capacity private dining room (10-seats, charge US$1000 /entire room) with a large Chef’s Table and a 7-course gourmet menu.
