Review of Scenic Gem deck 3 (Diamond-Lobby-Lounge)
Elevator (lobby / upper level 3 of 3). Diamond Deck is the ship’s Lobby Deck, where are located:
Reception Desk provides 24-hour guest services (assistance, information on the daily scheduled activities, purser service, Scenic Tours cruise shore excursions/Spa reservations). The boat’s Cruise Director can be found here.
Gift Shop sells luxury jewelry and watches, Scenic Tours logoed merchandise, also local (itinerary-based) gifts and souvenirs.
In the lobby, there are a coffee corner and a tea station (flanking the entrance). Both are complimentary and open 24-hour.
Panorama Lounge & Bar is the ship’s show lounge. It features floor-ceiling windows, large-screen TVs (also employed by the Scenic Gem’s cruise director for lectures and presentations), a grand piano (with afternoon/evening performances by a resident pianist-singer duo), comfortable seating (leather sofas and chairs). The lounge’s daily program includes port talks, while in the evenings here are presented the crew show (talent show), folkloric show (by local musicians/dancers), cocktail party, themed dance parties. The Panorama Lounge also doubles as a Library (wall shelves with books and tour guides).
At the Panorama Bar drinks are complimentary (incl specialty cocktails and coffees, fine wines, daily martini special). The Bar has Enomatic wine dispenser and professional espresso machine – both free of charge.
River Cafe is a waiter served patisserie. It offers early/late breakfasts, daily light snacks (sandwiches, pastries, ice cream), light lunch menu (pasta, burgers, daily soup/salad). The Cafe has dedicated staff that serves the Sun Deck’s River Terrace.
Panorama Deck is the ship’s Observation Lounge & Bar (forward). It has an indoor seating area (with a coffee bar) and a separate outdoor seating area with a few tables and chairs.
Portobello’s Restaurant is an Italian gourmet cuisine restaurant. It is complimentary, open for dinner only, and reservations are recommended due to its small capacity.
Diamond Deck cruise cabins from 301 to 331, all of which are Balcony Suites in categories P, PA, and PD-Deluxe, plus the RJ-Junior Suite (cabin #301 starboard), both R-Royal Suites (cabins #302-304 portside) and also the two 1-bedroom Royal Panorama Suites (cabins #228-331 category RP, aft location).
