Crystal Dining Restaurant is the Jade ship’s open-seating Dining Room with single-seating capacity, floor-ceiling windows on both sides, rectangular and round tables, buffet station in the middle. Dining times here are Breakfast (7-9 am), Lunch (12:30 – 1:30 pm), Dinner (7 pm). Tables capacity is 2 and 3 seats but can be put together to accommodate large groups.
Breakfasts and lunches are buffet-style, with some hot dishes available for off-menu ordering (like French toast, oatmeal, eggs). The breakfast menu has fruits, cheeses, cereal, yogurt, bread, pastries, scrambled eggs, cold meats, fish, plus made-to-order omelet station. The lunch menu has salads, sandwich fixings, 2 soups, 2 main dishes (incl vegetarian), regional cuisine specialty, pasta and carving stations, cheeses, desserts (incl cookies, cakes, ice cream). Dinners (waiter-served) as menu feature 2-3 appetizers, 1 soup, 1 entree (incl meat, seafood, vegetarian), 1 dessert. Always available are salads (green, Caesar), hamburgers/cheeseburgers with fries, chicken, salmon, steak, cheese plate for dessert. Captain’s formal dinners (Welcome/Farewell) are also held here. At lunches and dinners are offered complimentary wine, beer, soft drinks.
Scenic Jade cruise director often schedules culinary-themed events on the ship, including galley tour or cooking demonstrations by some of the boat’s chefs.
Table La Rive is for the Scenic Tours’ Chef’s Table private dining concept. This is a 10-seat table set up at the dining room’s end, where guests can enjoy a 3-hour long gourmet dinner with a 6-course menu, complimented by fine wines (different wine by course).
