Review of Silver Wind deck 9 (Observation-Spa-Sundeck)
Unlike the sistership Silver Cloud, the Silver Wind has on its sundeck a bow-located Observation Lounge. This is an indoor lounge offering 270-degree panoramic views from its floor-ceiling windows. At the Observation Lounge guests are provided with astronomical maps, binoculars, reference books, also board games. The lounge also features a radar screen. Here is served early breakfast with coffee (6:30-10 am).
Silversea Spa complex (operated by Steiner) has all 4 treatment rooms and male/female saunas, steam rooms and changing rooms (no Thermal Suite). The list of massages includes Swedish, stone, couples, also reflexology, detox, wraps, facials.
Beauty Salon (starboard) is a full-service hair salon, providing a variety of treatments for men/women, including hairstyling, manicures/pedicures, facials, barber.
Fitness Center (portside) is open between 6 am - 8 pm, and is complimentary. The modern gym is equipped with 4 treadmills, rowing machines, free weights, 2 exercise bikes, 2 cross-trainers, yoga mats. There is a separate room for complimentary classes (aerobics, Yoga, Pilates, circuit training). Personal training and specialty classes are available at additional charge.
The Sports deck also has Power Walking/Jogging Track, Golf Cage (aft), paddle tennis, golf putting green, sundeck/sunbathing area with padded loungers.
The open-floor deck plan allows an open view to the swimming pool on deck 8.
Being the ship’s top deck, the Sun Deck’s Observation Lounge and all the open-air spaces provide the best vantage points for taking photos and enjoying the port- and sea views along the Silver Wind itinerary route.
