Review of Star Seeker deck 10 (World Seeker-deck3)
The midship-located Mud Room is utilized for passenger embarkation and disembarkation on/from the Zodiac boats (large-capacity, inflatable boats/expedition landing craft). The room has lockers providing gear storage (jackets, boots, snorkeling equipment). In warm weather destinations, the cruise ship provides complimentary snorkeling gear (wetsuit, mask, snorkel, fins) for passenger use during the cruise expedition.
Expedition Landing Craft fleet consists of 10x inflatable motorized boats and 2 loading stations. They are used for passenger disembarkation in places otherwise inaccessible by the ship. Each expedition boat has length 19 ft (6 m), max capacity 12 people and is powered by a 4-stroke outboard engine. These boats are specially designed (military-grade) watercraft with extra holds. They are also fitted with custom-designed ladders for easy boarding and disembarkation.
The cruise ship is also equipped with a fleet of 2-person seakayaks.
On Deck 3 is located the ship's Clinic (medical facility) served by physicians on 24-hour duty. The doctor can be contacted through the Reception (on deck 4) or any crew member.
Deck 3 passenger cabins from 301 to 312 are all Porthole cabins (category Adventure Stateroom), each with a large non-opening window.
All passenger decks have elevator access (via 2 lifts) and public restrooms. However, for safety reasons, the elevators are shut down during inclement weather.
