MS Vasco da Gama (1993-built as "MS Statendam", acquired by CMV in 2015 November, last refurbished in 2024 May) in the period 2015-2019 was named "Pacific Eden". The liner was one of the three P&O Australia ships - with sisterships MS Ryndam (Celestyal Journey) and Pacific Explorer (former Dawn Princess). Pacific Eden cruise ship was launched and operated as MS Statendam (1993-2015) as part of Holland America Line fleet. In May 2014, Carnival Corporation (owner of both brands HAL and P&O) announced that Statendam will be transferred in 2015 to P&O Australia.
On March 7, 2018, the UK company CMV-Cruise & Maritime Voyages announced the purchase of Pacific Eden. The refurbished in Singapore vessel joined CMV fleet in April 2019, and was renamed "MS Vasco da Gama". Following the CMV bankruptcy in July 2020, in October the vessel was put up at an auction and sold to Mystic Invest (Portugal). Now the cruise ship is operated by Mystic Cruises.
