Viking Kadlin (built 2016) is one of the new generation Viking Cruises longships. This river cruise ship is named after an Old Norse female name Kadlin (Nordic Caitlin /form of Cadlae and Catherine), most probably of Celtic origin. The root “cath” means “battle”. Kadlin was the daughter of Rolf (aka Rollo, and "the Ganger") - a Viking chieftain who conquered and ruled over Normandy. She married Bjolan (King of Scotland) and had a daughter (Midbjorg) who married the Icelandic Viking Helgi Ottarson.
Viking Kadlin cruise ship deck plan has a total of 95 staterooms for 190 passengers served by 50 crew/staff, 4 passenger decks, 1 glass elevator (connecting Main-Upper decks only). The Viking longship Kadlin has no gym, pool/whirlpool or spa. Guests may access health & spa facilities at luxury hotels along the Kadlin’s itinerary route.
