Viking Rolf (built 2016) is one of the new generation Viking Cruises longships. This river cruise ship is named after the Viking chieftain Rolf (aka “Rolf the Ganger” and “Rollo”) who in 911 sailed down the Seine River to surround Paris, France. Later, he was defeated by King Charles. Accepting the king’s offer to protect the region from future Viking attacks, Rolf was granted land in Normandy and became First Duke (ruler) of the region. Rolf was succeeded by his son Vilhjalm ("William the Conqueror") in 927 AD.
Viking Rolf cruise ship deck plan has a total of 95 staterooms for 190 passengers served by 50 crew/staff, 4 passenger decks, 1 glass elevator (connecting Main-Upper decks only). The Viking longship Rolf has no gym, pool/whirlpool or spa. Guests may access health & spa facilities at luxury hotels along Rolf’s itinerary route.
