Viking Sineus (built 1979 as “Mikhail Lomonosov”, acquired 1990 as “Viking Lomonosov”, last refurbished 2014 /renamed) is one of the Viking Cruises Russia ships – together with Viking Rurik (same vessel class), and also Viking Akun, Viking Helgi, Viking Ingvar Viking Truvor. The Viking cruise ship Sineus is named after one of the three Varangian princes – the brothers Sineus, Truvor and Rurik. They were the founders of the Kievan Rus empire (the Rurikid Dynasty).
