Viking Skaga deck 4 plan (Sundeck-Bridge)

Deck layout and review

Review of Viking Skaga deck 4 (Sundeck-Bridge)

The Navigation Bridge (called Wheelhouse on riverboats) is passenger accessible and can be lowered when the ship passes under low bridges.

Sun Deck is enclosed by glass railings, with 360-degree scenery views, comfortable deckchairs, round tables, sun loungers, canopy shaded sitting area (covered by a large retractable awning). The sundeck’s relaxation area is encircled by the Walking / Jogging Track.

Sky Bar is an enclosed bar with outdoor seating (small 4-seat tables and chairs).

With aft location (at the rear) are the Solar Panels serving as an alternative energy source for the ship’s hybrid engines (diesel-electric powerplant).

One elevator (passenger lift) connects only decks 2 (Main) and 3 (Upper). All decks are interconnected via stairs - forward (Grand Staircase in the Atrium), midship and aft. From Upper Deck (3), the Sun Deck can be accessed via 5 staircases (1 forward, 2 midship, 2 aft).

Unlike standard Viking Cruises Longships, Skaga lacks the aft sundecks putting green (mini-golf course), Herb Garden (organic herbal garden), and the deck games area (with shuffleboard).
