The world’s largest expedition travel brand Hurtigruten Expeditions is launching a series of Grand Expedition Cruises.
4 continents, 100+ destinations/landing sites, ~100 adventure-packed days, ever-changing waters and climate zones, world wonders at sea and on land, are now all packed into an expedition from the Arctic Ocean to Antarctic Peninsula.
Most spectacular are 2023's three Pole-to-Pole voyages exploring the world from the extreme north to the deep south.
Hurtigruten's Pole-to-Pole Cruises combine bucket-list destinations like the Northwest Passage, Alaska, Iceland, Greenland, South America, and Antarctica, with crossings like the Arctic Circle, Drake Passage, Panama Canal.
The 3 epic adventures setting sail in August 2023 include:
- 94-day on MS Roald Amundsen: Vancouver – Alaska – the Northwest Passage – Antarctica. The 11-countries itinerary departs Vancouver on August 3, 2023. Passengers disembark in Ushuaia (Argentina).
- 93-day on MS Fridtjof Nansen: Iceland – the Northwest Passage – Alaska – Antarctica. The itinerary departs Reykjavik (Iceland) to Ushuaia.
- 66-day on MS Fram: Canada – the Northwest Passage – South America – Antarctica. The itinerary departs from Canada’s Northwest Passage to Punta Arenas (Chile) in late August 2023.
In addition to the 3 epic Pole-to-Pole cruises, Hurtigruten's new series of Grand Expedition Cruises provide a selection of month-long sailings, combining a number of the line’s most iconic itineraries.
Passengers can expand their adventures further by adding Hurtigruten's pre-/post-offerings to the Grand Expedition Cruises, such as visits to unique destinations like Machu Picchu or Easter Island.
The Pole-to-Pole expeditions as all Hurtigruten cruises feature a large onboard expedition team with experts who are specially handpicked for each itinerary. Hurtigruten offers the cruise industry's widest range of experts.
