CCL-Carnival Cruise Line continues to implement its cruise ship deployment changes announced in February, with the ship and homeport assignments extended into 2023 & 2024, including:
- Carnival Elation – Jacksonville (JAXPORT, Florida). Elation, which was announced as moving to Jacksonville, will continue service of 4- and 5-day cruises formerly assigned to Carnival Ecstasy. Itineraries for additional vacations from Jacksonville will be open into 2024.
- Carnival Freedom – Port Canaveral (Orlando, Florida). Freedom, which was announced as redeploying to Port Canaveral in April 2022 to replace Elation, will continue to operate 4- and 5-day sailings from Port Canaveral. Itineraries will soon be open through April 29, 2023.
- Carnival Spirit – PortMiami FL & Seattle WA. After completing her recently announced summer 2022 season in Alaska, Spirit will continue to operate 6- and 8-day voyages previously assigned to Freedom from PortMiami through April 8, 2023. Following the completion of her Caribbean itineraries from PortMiami, Carnival Spirit will offer a Panama Canal Journeys cruise on April 16, 2023, arriving in Seattle WA, and will then operate a series of Alaska sailings from May 2, 2023, through September 12, 2023, with those itineraries to be open for booking soon.
While CCL completes the swap of existing bookings to the new ship assignments and offers equivalent accommodations, the itineraries remain closed for sale, and bookings will not be accessible for up to 3 weeks. Once the process has been finished, an email confirmation will be sent to passengers/travel advisors, and the new booking will be available for viewing on CCL's website. The new cruise ship assignments and itineraries will also be open for sale at that time.
