Cruise operator Royal Caribbean Group canceled all sailings to Russia, joining rivals in suspending operations in the country following the conflict with Ukraine.
Celebrity Cruises, which is owned by Royal Caribbean, also announced it was removing the Russian port city, Saint Petersburg, from its upcoming itineraries, adding it would visit other Scandinavian ports instead.
Silversea Cruises said it would re-route summer cruises scheduled to call in Russia and Ukraine, while RCI-Royal Caribbean International said it had canceled its calls to Saint Petersburg on all summer itineraries.
The itinerary changes mark yet another blow to the recovery of the United States' cruise industry after the Omicron variant of COVID forced operators to cancel voyages.
Other major operators, NCLH-Norwegian and MSC, also modified their itineraries, while Carnival Corporation said it would follow suit.
