NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line increased the daily services charges of crew gratuities.
In its letter sent to travel agents and passengers the company revealed that starting April 1, 2022, it would be making a nominal adjustment to the daily service charges.
Now the daily service charges per person will become US$20.00 – for passengers in The Haven & Suite, US$18.00 for Club Balcony Suite, and US$16.00 for Balcony/below.
The NCL letter sent to travel partners reads:
“At Norwegian Cruise Line, we are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences at every step of the cruise journey, and with the dedication of our shipboard team, we are able to turn your vacation dreams into reality. As such, we make it easy for guests to show their appreciation for these vacation heroes with discretionary daily services charges, which provide gratuities to key onboard team members, including room stewards, restaurant servers and behind-the-scenes support staff.”
The company said that passengers who book a voyage on/before March 31, 2022, will have an option of pre-paying gratuities at the current rate. Travelers with existing reservations who already pre-paid service charges at the current rate aren't affected.
