Cruise season 2022 in Halifax (Nova Scotia Canada) will restart on April 26 with the arrival of NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Getaway and AQV-American Queen Voyages' Ocean Navigator.
The season is expected to run until November 5.
Captain Allan Gray (Halifax Port Authority's President and CEO) said they were starting the rebuilding process in a strong position.
”With 152 expected vessel calls in 2022, we are at 85% of where we left off in 2019, which is a great position to be in. Nova Scotia is a place that people want to visit, and the cruise lines want to come here. We remain a safe, welcoming destination with natural beauty and authentic experiences to offer.
The Port is expecting 152 cruise ship calls in 2022, of which thirteen 3-ship days, three 4-ship days, and one 5-ship day.
A call from Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas is scheduled for June 7. Oasis OTS is the largest cruise ship to call on Halifax to date.
A couple of calls from Cunard Line's Queen Mary 2 are scheduled for July 6 and October 5.
One call from Disney Cruise Line's Disney Magic is scheduled for October 14.
