MSC Cruises announced that for the first time the company will homeport a ship in NYC New York for year-round voyages.
MSC Meraviglia starts homeporting in New York City from April 2023 to operate roundtrips to the Caribbean, Bermuda, New England USA and Canada. Many of the itineraries will visit Ocean Cay - MSC’s private island in The Bahamas.
The deployment is expected to enhance the presence of MSC in the North American market via complementing the rich choice of liners and itineraries sailing from both PortMiami and Port Canaveral (Orlando) Florida and will give passengers the chance to extend their vacation with a stay in New York before/after their voyage.
Meraviglia will sail on a variety of itineraries ranging between 6-11 nights.
Options are available for travelers to book additional days before/after their holiday to make the most of NYC.
The boat's ex-NYC itinerary program includes:
- 7- and 8-night Caribbean itineraries featuring calls in Nassau (Bahamas) and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.
- 6-night Bermuda itineraries offering 3 days docked at Kings Wharf combined with days at sea.
- 10- and 11-night Northern itineraries, featuring calls at Boston (Massachusetts USA), Portland (Maine), Charlottetown (Prince Edward Island, Canada), Halifax and Sydney (Nova Scotia), Saint John NB (New Brunswick Canada). 11-night itineraries feature an additional call in Newport, Rhode Island.
