The USCG medevaced an ill 7-year-old child and her father from a CCL-Carnival Cruise Line ship off the Gulf Coast on Sunday, March 13, and flew them to a hospital.
The girl was onboard the Carnival Dream ship, 264 mi (425 km) southwest of Clearwater (Tampa Bay metro area).
A Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter flew the kid and her father to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, reportedly in stable condition.
A Carnival Dream crew reported to CG Sector St Petersburg the girl was suffering from abdominal pain.
