When MS Arcadia ship sails to the Canaries on Sunday, March 27, she will mark the full return to service of P&O Cruises UK following the fleet's pause in operations.
Paul Ludlow (P&O UK's President) said they were back sailing and that was certainly a cause for celebration. He added that Sunday was an important milestone as they would have all 6 ships back in operation and doing what they did best.
P&O's liners Britannia and Azura had a successful season in the Caribbean from homeport Bridgetown Barbados and will spend the summer months in the Mediterranean.
The 2021-built Iona spent her maiden winter season in the Canaries and Northern Europe and will soon head to the Norwegian Fjords for summer 2022.
P&O UK's newest liner - Arvia (Iona's sistership) is scheduled to join the fleet in December 2022 as the 7th boat in the fleet. Her maiden voyage will be to the Canaries followed by a winter season with Caribbean fly-cruises out of Barbados. Iona and Arvia are LNG-powered and P&O's ever-largest vessels representing the new Excellence-class, with a volume of 184000+ GT-tons.
