Silversea's ship Silver Muse arrived at Port Nanaimo (BC Canada) on Sunday, May 1, berthing for a 2-week stay to “perform a limited operation maintenance call.”
Onboard are some crew as they await a trip to Alaska to open the season on May 19, shuttling between Seward AK and Vancouver BC.
The ultra-premium boat will sail around the south/western portions of Vancouver Island, to/from Alaska, until September 2022 when she will reposition over to China, Japan, Australia & New Zealand for the southern hemisphere summer.
The vessel not only carries ~600 passengers but will also house ~400 crew members when fully staffed.
Seeing Silver Muse in local waters surprised many over the weekend. No cruise ships with guests will come this year and none were booked as of early April for the 2023 cruise season.
Silver Muse opened Nanaimo’s cruise season in 2019.
