Following her drydock at Lloyd Werft's shipyard in Bremerhaven Germany, AIDA's ship AIDAdiva commenced her first journey from Warnemunde-Rostock (Germany) to the Norwegian Fjords on Saturday, May 14.
Over the past few weeks, the vessel has been undergoing an extensive refurbishment at the shipyard. From April 25 through to May 12, 2022, several areas onboard were redesigned in addition to regular maintenance work.
A new attraction onboard is the restaurant “Almhütte” offering delicacies from the Alpine region and beer specialties.
The Body & Soul Spa has been expanded to include an outdoor area. The fitness equipment has been replaced by the latest generation one. The cyberobics workouts with international trainers are another new feature.
With AIDAdiva, the Carnival Corporation-owned German company is offering voyages to Norway, Denmark, and Baltic Sea metropolises like Copenhagen (Denmark) and Stockholm (Sweden) from Warnemunde until October.
AIDAperla ended her 3-week shipyard stay in Rotterdam (Netherlands) on Saturday, May 14, and set off for Hamburg (Germany). The first passengers embarked on the Hanseatic city on Monday, May 16, 2022, and will discover numerous innovations onboard during their sailing to Norway.
In addition to technical updates and scheduled maintenance work, AIDAperla also received a visual makeover. In the ship's new ice cream bar, passengers can taste delicious types of ice cream creations and a wide selection of cakes.
The Body & Soul Organic Spa boasts its new Hypoxi Studio for figure-shaping. There are also Cyberobics workouts with international trainers. A fashion accessories area for sunglasses, leather goods, and handbags has been integrated into the onboard shopping plaza.
During the 2022 summer season, AIDAperla will sail on 10-day cruises to Norway from Hamburg.
